Terms of Service

By accessing or using Kakaw AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users of the Service.

Kakaw AI is a natural language interface for relational databases. The Service translates plain-English questions into SQL queries using a large language model (LLM) of your choosing, executes those queries against a database you connect, and returns the results. Kakaw AI is a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) service — you provide API credentials for an LLM provider, and those credentials are used solely on your behalf.

You are responsible for: • Ensuring you have lawful authorization to access any database you connect to Kakaw AI. • Maintaining valid API keys for your chosen LLM provider and complying with that provider's terms of service. • The accuracy and legality of any data accessed through the Service. • Keeping your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. • Not using the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third party's rights.

You acknowledge that: • The LLM provider you configure is responsible for processing your queries. Kakaw AI does not control, monitor, or guarantee the responses generated by third-party LLM providers. • You are solely responsible for any costs incurred with your LLM provider as a result of using the Service. • Kakaw AI is not liable for inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading SQL queries generated by the LLM or for any downstream decisions made based on those results.

The Kakaw AI name, logo, and software are the property of Kakaw AI and may not be used without permission. You retain ownership of your database, your data, and any content you bring to the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the SQL queries generated will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kakaw AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or incorrect query results, even if Kakaw AI has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
